Tonight I'm going to stay with you while your parents go see the musical "Wicked". I went to see it last week and really enjoyed it. The challenges of growing up and the effect people have on your views of life are some of the themes of the story. The last song includes the phrase " Because I knew you I've been changed for good". I'm not very creative myself, but the music, literature, movies and art created by others has always been a source of inspiration for me. You've only been in my life for 5 months, but knowing you has changed me for good. You are a reminder that what I do and how I treat others is something you will observe so I need to be better. I am confident I will be one of hopefully many people in your life who will give you unconditional love. Unfortunately that is not a common commodity in this world. You are also a source of unconditional love. I'm spending this weekend with you while your parents participate in the wedding of a long time friend of your mother, Natalie. I'm looking forward to the hugs & smiles you will give me this weekend. The unconditional love from a grandchild...

Laughter
Since your Dad takes better pictures than I do, I usually upload pictures he takes. But I took this one, and just missed the moment you were actually laughing. You have an amazing laugh! Although you laugh all day, early morning time on your playmat (see picture) is a guaranteed laugh time. You make "raspberries" independently as well as in response to receiving them. You grab the toys above your head and kick and coo and "talk" and flash your beautiful smile as well as laugh. You not only laugh a lot yourself, you produce laughter in others. What a joy you add to life! Although I'm not with you more than two days a week, I hear the music generated by pushing the red button in my head often when I'm away from you. It always makes me laugh.
