Pediatrician & Carrots & Smiles

You are so cute it's hard to chose one picture per post these days! On Tuesday, March 27 I went with you & your mom to the Pediatrician. The doctor commented you had never been sick. Isn't that wonderful? Hopefully you will never get sick; but at least you won't be sick as a tiny baby! You now weigh 17 pounds 12 ounces. The precious picture of you in the cute pink outfit was taken at the doctor's office. You got 4 shots (or was it 5?) to help you stay healthy. The picture was "pre shots" or you would have been crying :( The other picture was taken a few days later after you had eaten some delicious carrots! You really like carrots!! Now that you are taking two significant naps per day, the time with you really seems to fly by. Before I know it, it's time for you to get ready to go to bed! Because the days are getting longer your room was too bright at bedtime so your parents got curtain liners! It really made a difference. Also...you are sitting up unsupported for several seconds now! And you laugh and smile so much! Your biggest smile happens when your Mom & Dad come home at the end of the day. Their smiles are really big as well!

Happy Almost 1/2 Birthday to you!

You are almost 6 months old! Even though I get to see you at least once a week, every time I see you, you have changed! The last time I was with you we had a delightful time of laughing almost continually for a long time! You smiled and laughed with me so much it brought tears to my eyes. You have also started pulling hair! I understand you were pulling your Mom's hair in the delightful family picture I have posted. You are almost sitting up independently. You pay attention to the books read to you. One of your favorite books is Snuggle Puppy with the wonderful phrase "...Everything about you is especially fine! I love what you are. I love what you do.." You happily play in a serious way in your "bouncy toy". You take a long morning nap in your "nap chair" (aka car seat). You enjoy long stroller rides. You delight in your bath and seem to savor your bottle and adore eating carrots! You fall asleep so sweetly after your bedtime bottle. And some nights you sleep through the night. The last day that I stayed with you flew by...it was bedtime before I knew it. The age you are right now is so precious I don't want it to fly by. But somehow, I think I will be saying that the rest of my life!
